Dentil Moulding

The Dentil design goes back to ancient Greek architecture where the Dentil was used for its symmetrical shape in Greek temples (‘dentil’ is from ‘dens’, Latin for tooth).

A good choice for topping an area of tiling or for use as a chair rail in their
own right. They also make good ‘top rails’ for more elaborate dados.

Dentil’s more geometic form makes it a good choice for 20th century décor styles such as Art Deco and 1970’s retro.
